Hello Internet

My name is Jason and this is my blog. I just wanted to have this first blog to tell you guys who I am and what I'm doing. I am currently an undergrad at FIU in Miami,FL and I am studying civil engineering. I am very interested in the green movement that has been getting more and more popular especially since the last presidential election. It seems that all you hear about now is energy rebates and tax credits and saving the planet. All I can say is FINALLY! I feel this is the perfect time to get into the industry that will ultimately become the future. So far I have been active in my journey to learn everything there is to learn from this new "green movement". I am an active member of Emerging Green Builders at my school. We are restoring our solar house while beautifying the park next to it. I also just came back from a trip to New Orleans where I helped build one of the country's first green community as well as helping the city re grow to its former glory. Soon I will also be a LEED AP.

Now that summer is here I am interning at a large solar panel company in Miami. http://www.fl-energy.com/ FL Green Energy, a Florida based energy efficiency company, is offering solutions to the rising utility costs facing home and business owners today. In this blog I will tell you guys about my internship and my learning experiences. This is my first blog please be gentle. On Wednesday I start my first day of training and hopefully will learn alot.
